Steep Hill is a famous street in the historic city of Lincoln, England. It connects the lower part of the city with the Cathedral Quarter, where Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle are located.
The street is very steep, with a gradient of 16.12 degrees, and is lined with independent shops, tea rooms and restaurants. It also has some Norman houses and Roman remains.
Steep Hill was voted Britain’s Great Street in 2012 by the Academy of Urbanism.
