Stokesley is a market town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. It lies within the historic county boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire, on the River Leven. It has a population of 4,757 according to the 2011 census.
Stokesley is known for its elegant Georgian and Victorian buildings, its ancient pack-horse bridge, and its annual agricultural show. Stokesley is also a gateway to the North York Moors National Park, offering scenic views of Roseberry Topping and the moors. Stokesley was granted a charter to hold fairs in 1223 by Henry III, and it still has a weekly market every Friday.
Stokesley is also the home of Quorn, a meat substitute product made by Marlow Foods.
